PIRACY OF SONY PICTURES: THE RELEASE OF "THE INTERVIEW THAT KILLS" CANCELLED (SHIFT)

The New York premiere of the Interview that kills, a film where the actors James Franco and Seth Rogen make North Korea as journalists to assassinate Kim Jong-Un on behalf of the CIA, will not take place. Sony has decided to limit the promotion of the film after receiving threats from the Group of pirates at the origin of its recent setbacks.


"Remember September 11, 2001" said the group, which is paradoxically called Guardians of Peace, in a statement echoed by Variety. Hackers threaten retaliation cinemas which will broadcast the film. Sony is holding firm, cinemas cancel projections

Before the growing number of cinemas that have canceled the screening of the interview that kills and always subject to threats from hackers, Sony Pictures finally throws in the towel. The firm announced by press release, it would relinquish the broadcasting of the film.

"With regard to the decision taken by a majority of cinemas to film The Interview, we decided to not to come out in theaters December 25," said Sony Pictures.

Specifying, end of the sentence, "December 25", Sony can be however a way out for a possible later output.
